Annual Parochial Church Meeting - APCM

On Sunday 17th May, during 5@Saint Stephen’s, we will be having our yearly Annual Parochial Church Meeting.

The APCM basically the yearly “AGM” (annual general meeting) of a parish church, where members of the church community come together to review the past year and make key decisions.

Here’s what typically happens at an APCM:

  • Reports are presented – including finances, church activities, and parish life over the past year

  • Elections take place – people are chosen for roles like:

    • Churchwardens

    • Members of the Parochial Church Council (PCC)

  • Discussion of future plans – priorities, events, and any challenges ahead

  • Opportunity for questions – attendees can ask about how the church is run

Anyone on the church’s electoral roll (official membership list) can usually attend and vote.
