Update on Holy Trinity Bell

We updated you recently on the erratic chiming of our church bell at Holy Trinity.  After several weeks of investigation we're sad to say that the 70-year-old specialist electric motor, which is part of the chiming mechanism, has failed beyond repair.  Unfortunately this means we may need to replace the whole mechanism as modern motors are not compatible with the historic equipment.  We are committed to keeping our church bell ringing if we possibly can, but it will remain silent for the time being while we consider options for replacing the mechanism.
